85-office dental group plans to double size by 2023: 5 things to know

Boston-based DentaQuest launched its new platform Preventistry to make oral healthcare more affordable and accessible.

Here are five things to know:

1. Through the initiative, DentaQuest plans to work with Medicaid oral health programs to implement value-based approaches in dentistry. Over the past year, DentaQuest entered into new Medicaid partnerships in five states.

2. DentaQuest is also looking to expand its footprint. While managing 85 oral health centers in Alabama, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Oregon and Texas, DentaQuest plans to double its size by 2023.

3. The organization will also invest $20 million in various grants and programs that drive oral health system transformation. Investments will include strategic philanthropy, care delivery improvement programs, research and innovation.

4. Since its inception 10 years ago, DentaQuest has provided $200 million in research, programs and grants to local and national organizations.

5. DentaQuest manages dental and vision benefits for more than 27 million Americans on top of providing direct care to patients.
