Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services' nonprofit organization the Pacific Dental Services Foundation provided comprehensive oral healthcare to patients in Ethiopia.
The foundation teamed up with Smile Generation's clinicians to treat 655 patients. Pacific Dental Services Foundation also worked with the Dental School of Mekelle University and Relief Society of Tigray to gift $344,433 in dentistry .
As part of the volunteer mission trip, clinicians provided comprehensive dentistry services, including extractions, restorations, scaling and root planning.
Since first making its annual trips to Ethiopia in 2010, Pacific Dental Services Foundation estimates it has treated nearly 10,000 patients.
