1. For dentists ages 21 to 24 years old, the rate of dentists associated with DSOs nearly doubles to 16.3 percent.
2. Arizona is the leading state with 17.5 percent of all dentists being affiliated with DSOs, and Texas follows at 15 percent.
3. Eleven states record less than 2 percent of their dentists being affiliated with DSOs.
4. When categorizing gender, 10.2 percent of female dentists are affiliated with DSOs compared to 6.1 percent of men.
5. Pediatric dentists are most likely to partner with DSOs with 8.1 percent of dentists in the specialty category reporting affiliation.
