Oregon dental practices warn of thieves posing as patients

Several dental practices in Oregon have warned other offices and businesses about a pair of women going through employee breakrooms and stealing wallets, credit cards and cash, according to a March 6 report from NBC affiliate KGW8.

The two women visited Tigard City Dental in Portland, Ore., posing as customers, on Feb. 26. One woman stood at the front desk to schedule an appointment at the practice while the other individual went back to the breakroom.

Employees at Smiles Northwest in Cedar Hills, Ore., reported a similar situation the same day.

At this point, at least six different dental practices and businesses have been targeted by the thieves over the past two weeks.

Police have not made any arrests and the women have not been publicly identified, the report said.
