Mark Bowman, DDS, was confirmed to be the owner of a small plane that crashed in Greenville, N.C., on March 14, WITN reported.

The crash occurred at about 7:50 a.m. March 14 near the Pitt-Greenville Airport, killing the two people on board. Bowman, Padgett and Associates, a dental practice in Greenville, N.C., is listed as one of the addresses under the plane’s registration.

Although the North Carolina State Highway Patrol is still working to confirm the identities of those killed in the crash, an employee at the dental practice confirmed to Becker’s that Dr. Bowman died in the plane crash. Dr. Bowman’s wife, Robin Bowman, is also believed to have died in the crash.

The dental office also remembered Dr. Bowman in a March 16 Facebook post.

“Dr. Bowman blessed our practice with over 30 years of dentistry and nurtured many relationships over those years. His work was admirable, and he was so much more than a dentist to all that were blessed to know him. He was a great friend, a compassionate boss, and a dear partner,” the statement said. “He was an inspiration to many that came after him in the dental field and his passion radiated through the lives of all around him. It was a true privilege to be a witness to the legacy he has left behind. Dr. Bowman will forever be in our hearts as we strive to make him proud in all that we do.”

The Beech A36 Bonanza aircraft, which was headed to Vero Beach, Fla., had taken off five minutes before the crash. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
