Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System has expanded its dental services for vulnerable populations, according to a March 24 report from TAP Into.
The system’s Delta Dental Center at Morristown Medical Center, through an endowment from Delta Dental of New Jersey, will be able to improve dental care as well as provide education for dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants.
The center provides dental care to seniors, at-risk children and developmentally disabled patients.
Services performed include root canal treatments and extractions, reconstructive surgery and dental health education.
The dental center has nearly 8,000 patient visits annually, the report said.
