Kaunakakai, Hawaii-based Molokai Community Health Center is upgrading its dental clinic, according to a Jan. 2 report from The Molokai Dispatch.
The federally qualified health center will renovate its dental clinic, adding three new operatories and dental equipment. The clinic will also provide additional dental services, including restorative care and pediatric dentistry.
MCHC is recruiting two dentists, a dental hygienist and dental assistants to expand its staff.
The health center received funding for the expansion through the federal Community Project Funding.
MCHC provides dental care to underserved populations by offering sliding scale fees, the report said.
