Donald Dinello, DMD, an oral surgeon in Pennsylvania, agreed to pay $120,000 in civil penalties for allegedly failing to comply with the Controlled Substances Act.
Dr. Dinello allegedly did not comply with the recordkeeping and other requirements of the Controlled Substances Act, according to a Dec. 20 news release from the Justice Department.
Between January 2023 and August 2024, Dr. Dinello did not use the required DEA form for each distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance and failed to maintain complete and accurate records of controlled substances dispensed by him at his locations in Harrisburg and Hershey, Pa.
The settlement agreement is neither an admission of liability by Dr. Dinello nor a concession by the United States that its claims are not well founded, the release said.
