CDA past president dies at 75

Brian Scott, DDS, past president of the California Dental Association, died Nov. 28 at age 75.

Dr. Scott graduated in 1978 from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry in Cleveland. He then served on active duty in the Navy Dental Corps from 1978-1981, continuing to serve in the Naval Reserves until 2000, according to a Dec. 13 news release from the CDA. 

In 1982, Dr. Scott joined Palo Alto Dental Group, serving in private practice until 2017. 

Dr. Scott became California Dental Association president in 2008 after serving on the organization's executive committee for five years, the release said.
