Practice openings, lawsuits and more: 8 dental updates in Arizona

Here are eight dental industry updates in Arizona that Becker's has reported on since July 29:

1. Jonesboro, Ark.-based GPS Dental added its first practice in Arizona.

2. An Arizona dental assistant and the practice for which he worked are being sued after the dental assistant was accused of molesting three children while at work.

3. Palm Valley Pediatric Dentistry opened a practice in Chandler, Ariz., marking its fifth location. 

4. A Phoenix woman pleaded guilty to performing dental procedures without an Arizona license.

5. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health added Valencia Modern Dentistry in Buckeye, Ariz., bringing the DSO's network to 104 practices in Arizona.

6. Nichols Orthodontics and Aesthetics, led by Trevor Nichols, DMD, launched orthodontics services at its existing practice in Gilbert, Ariz. 

7. Queen Creek, Ariz., got its first full-time periodontics office.

8. Southlake, Texas-based Allied OMS added its first practice in Arizona.
