The University of Tennessee and East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville are collaborating to launch a pediatric oral surgery residency.
The partnership re-establishes formalized pediatric training for the Knoxville region for the first time in nearly 25 years, the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital said in a Nov. 8 news release.
The residents will be studying family medicine, urology, and general or oral surgery as part of the three-year program.
The first class of residents will start their program in July 2027.
