ADA launches corporate venture program: 5 things to know

The American Dental Association has created ADA Corporate Ventures, according to an Oct. 18 news release. 

Here are five things to know:

1. ADA Corporate Ventures will look for commercial application opportunities of oral health research that is conducted by the ADA Forsyth Institute. 

2. ADA Corporate Ventures will have two entities: an LLC and a C corporation, allowing for new partnerships, companies and ventures with third parties. 

3. The ADA Forsyth Institute was created in 2023 and aims to advance dentistry and drive innovation in oral health.

4. Dave Preble, DDS, president and CEO of ADA Corporate Ventures and chief strategy officer of the ADA, said that the new structure will bring developments from the institute to patients, enhancing dental care.

5. Ben Wu, DDS, PhD, COO and chief scientific officer of the ADA Forsyth Institute, said that ADA Corporate Ventures will accelerate the development of new solutions to serve more patients.
