1. There are three new dental schools in 2024: Northeast Ohio Medical University Bitonte College of Dentistry in Rootstown; Universidad Ana G. Mendez - Gurabo (P.R.) School of Dental Medicine; and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine in Yakima, Wash.
2. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Dental Medicine in Erie, Pa., has the lowest acceptance rate of all dental schools in the U.S.
3. The University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in Jackson has the highest acceptance rate of all dental schools.
4. California has seven dental schools, the most dental schools of any state.
5. University of Michigan-Ann Arbor was ranked as the top dental school in the world by QS World University Rankings.
