From new dental clinics to DSO affiliations, here are seven dentistry updates that have taken place in Ohio since Aug. 7:
1. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center opened a dental clinic in Columbus, Ohio.
2. Hal Jeter, DDS, was appointed president of the Ohio Dental Association.
3. Brad Kripke, DDS, and Aaron Carroll, DDS, are planning to launch Whitehall (Ohio) Family Dental.
4. Northeast Ohio Medical University in Cleveland earned initial accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation for its college of dentistry.
5. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Imagen Dental Partners added Chagrin Family Dental Care in Chagrin Falls and Elements Dental in Johnstown, Ohio.
6. Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, invested $2.6 million in upgrading its dental simulation clinic.
7. An office manager for an Ohio dental practice pleaded guilty to employment-related tax offenses.
