Several dental offices are closed and without power after Hurricane Beryl made landfall along the Texas coast July 8.
At least seven people have died in Louisiana and Texas, and about 2.3 million people have lost power as a result of the storm, NBC News reported July 9.
Several dental offices in the area announced to patients online that they would be closed ahead of the hurricane's landfall, and many continue to be closed as they deal with the storm's aftermath.
Tomball, Texas-based Tropical Dental Care closed July 8 and announced on its Facebook page that it would be closed again July 9 because the office is without power. The practice said it would contact patients to reschedule appointments once power is restored.
Katy, Texas-based Cinco Meadows Dental said its office is currently without internet or phone service and plans to reopen once its services are restored.
Some practices were able to reopen after being closed July 8. Katy Periodontology & Oral Surgery announced it reopened July 9. Elite Oral & Facial Surgery, which has 10 offices throughout Texas, announced online that several of its offices would be closed July 9 due to lost power, while its offices in Cypress and College Station were reopened.
Hurricane Beryl has been downgraded to a tropical depression, but several states are currently under flood watches as the storm continues to move northeast, NBC News reported.
