A dental practice in San Antonio closed suddenly, leaving patients unsure of its future, according to a June 21 report by Fox SA.
The front door of Moya Dentistry, led by Leonardo Moya, DDS, is locked and phone calls are directed to an answering service.
The closing has left patients without treatment for procedures they already paid for. Patients have not received any notice from the practice about why the office is closed.
Patient abandonment can be investigated by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, but a complaint must be filed with the board before an investigation can begin.
There have been two recent complaints about the practice to the Better Business Bureau about the sudden closure, the report said.
