Man accused of running illegal dental practice sentenced for murder

A Michigan man accused of running an illegal dental practice from his basement was recently sentenced for the death of a man, clickondetroit.com reported May 13.

Zayed Albodour was accused last year by the family of Ahmad Nesserdine of running an illegal dental practice out of his home in Dearborn, Mich. Mr. Nesserdine allegedly received services from Mr. Albodour that caused significant and recurring pain.

Mr. Albodour was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of felony firearm after police found Mr. Nesserdine dead from at least one gunshot wound at Mr. Albodour's home.

Police said the shooting happened after a dispute over dental work escalated, according to the report.

Mr. Albodour reportedly applied for a dental license in the state but was rejected because the state board found that he did not have the proper education to be a dentist.

Mr. Albodour pleaded guilty to second degree murder and a weapons charge, for which he will serve between 10 and 30 years in prison.
