Here are two dental practice closures Becker's has covered in April:
1. The office of Paul Jeffrey Lowe, DMD, closed indefinitely after the North Carolina dentist had his license suspended. The North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners took emergency action against Dr. Lowe's license after allegedly receiving evidence that Dr. Lowe was impaired at his dental office and was unfit to practice.
2. A dental practice in Omaha, Neb., permanently closed due to the death of Scott Green, DDS, the dentist at the practice. Patients at Dental Implant Centre are now stuck without care, but there was a note on the window of the practice listing two other dentists in the area who can potentially take over the care of some of the patients. One of the dentists, Mark Panneton, DDS, is working with his attorney to gain access to the patient records at Dental Implant Centre in order to work with the stranded patients.
