Moreno Family Dentistry in Kansas City, Kan., could be forced to vacate because of ongoing issues with the business' office building, according to a March 25 report by ABC affiliate KMBC.
Building management has stopped doing housekeeping of the building, which has led to Miralda Moreno, DDS, her family and the practice staff having to clean it themselves.
All three of the elevators in the six-story building were shut down. Two were inoperable due to age, and the third was decommissioned for safety problems.
Moreno Family Dentistry has operated in the building for more than 20 years. Several other businesses have already moved out of the building.
The city recently deemed the building "unfit for human habitation." A hearing on the building is scheduled for April 4, which could lead to an order to vacate, the report said.
