Oregon dental practice suddenly closes

Pacific Northwest Implant Studio and General Dentistry in Eugene, Ore., led by Matthew Byrne, DDS, has shut down unexpectedly, leaving patients without care, according to a Jan. 11 report by ABC affiliate KEZI.

The landlord of the building posted a notice citing failure to pay as the reason for the abrupt closing. 

The Oregon Board of Dentistry said they were aware of the practice situation and have been in contact with Dr. Byrne to gain access to patient records. The board also noted failure to provide access to the records is classified as unprofessional conduct, according to the report.
