The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine's main dental clinic is temporarily closed following flooding, according to a Jan. 9 report by riverbender.com.
The water heater in the lower level of the clinic failed, leading to a one-inch flood of water in the basement and power outages in two buildings.
Classes and education at the dental school will not be impacted by the closure.
The school is currently working to reopen the main dental clinic, the report said.
