A former dentist in Pensacola, Fla., pleaded no contest to a felony perjury charge, according to an Oct. 30 report by CBS affiliate WKRG.
Charles Stamitoles, DDS, violated the conditions of his release when he traveled to Mobile, Ala., with his wife to buy a car. He then lied to the court, saying he traveled to Alabama for an emergency.
Dr. Stamitoles was convicted of inappropriately touching employees and patients in 2022 and was sued by a former employee in 2023.
He will be sentenced for perjury on Jan. 11, 2024, the report said.
