From court cases to DSO affiliations, here are four updates that have taken place in Maryland since May 25:
1. A judge approved the U.S.' consent decree, prohibiting Jordan Hobel, DDS, a dentist who formerly practiced in Frostburg, Md., from prescribing controlled substances.
2. James Ryan, DDS, was found guilty of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter for the death of this girlfriend.
3. Smile Partners of Bel Air opened a new practice location in Forest Hill, Md.
4. Southlake, Texas-based Allied OMS added two practices in Virginia and Maryland.
