- Dallas-based Smile Doctors, an orthodontics-focused DSO, introduced a joint venture partnership model for its partner doctors.
- Terry Dischinger, DDS, a nine-year NBA player, Olympic gold medalist and orthodontist, died Oct. 10 at the age of 82.
- Tops , an orthodontic practice management software developer, launched Tops DPX, a patient engagement platform.
- Kyle Sparkman, DDS, is planning to open the fourth Sparkman Orthodontics location in Texas in 2024.
- Lehi, Utah-based Shasta Dental Services added Greenhaven Orthodontics and Empire Orthodontics in California to its network.
- Impress, a clear aligner orthodontics company founded in Barcelona, Spain, opened its first clinic location in New York City Aug. 24.
