The University of Pikeville's College of Dental Medicine will be named after the family of donors that helped establish the dental school.
Carol Goff Tanner and her family donated $25 million to the university last year to establish the dental school and expand dental care access in the Appalachian region. The gift, which was said at the time to have been given by an anonymous donor, is the largest single donation the school has received in its 133-year history.
The Tanner College of Dental Medicine is expected to accept its first class in 2025.
