The American Dental Association is requesting support from dental professionals for the Resident Education Deferred Interest Act.
The REDI Act would allow dental residents to defer student loan payments and would suspend the accrual of interest on loans while dentists complete their programs, according to a Sept. 28 news release.
The ADA is part of a 40-member coalition supporting the bill. The dental agency is also supporting several other bills that would help dentists manage educational debt.
