Here are six updates on the dental industry in Ohio that Becker's has reported on since July 17:
1. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management added Drs. Fried & Popper in Mayfield Heights and Mill Creek Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, which has offices in Boardman and Austintown, as partner practices.
2. Carrollton, Texas-based MB2 Dental partnered with Spoonhower Orthodontics in Uniontown, Ohio, led by Christopher Spoonhower, DDS and Forest Hills Family Dentistry in Cincinnati, led by Frank Wright, DMD, and Bradley Dorsch, DDS.
3. The Dental Center of Northwest Ohio, which shut down in August, was sued for failing to make several monthly payments on an equipment lease.
4. Upper Sandusky-based Fay Family Dental Care relocated to an expanded office to make room for more staff and patients.
5. Dallas-based Smile Doctors affiliated with Smiles of Ohio, which has three locations in the state.
6. Tempe, Ariz.-based Gen4 Dental Partners added James Lapierre, DDS, and Michael Toms, DDS.
