High Point (N.C.) University recently broke ground on its upcoming dental school.
The university announced its plans for the Workman School of Dental Medicine in May 2021. It will be the third dental school in the state and the first among private schools. Scott De Rossi, DMD, is the school's founding dean. The university received accreditation for the dental school in August.
The new building will feature a fully functional dental office, simulation labs, a digital production lab and seven learning spaces, according to a Sept. 23 news release.
The school will welcome its first cohort of students in fall 2024.
