The American Dental Association board of trustees has awarded honorary memberships to four individuals that have made contributions to the advancement of dentistry.
Honorary membership can be given to dentists that are not eligible for active, life or retired memberships or to individuals from outside the profession of dentistry, according to a Sept. 21 news release from the ADA.
Here are the four new members:
- Karen Burgess, executive director of the Michigan Dental Association.
- Professor Ihsane Ben Yahya, PhD, president of the FDI World Dental Federation.
- Randall Grove, executive director of the Chicago Dental Society.
- Kathleen Moore, executive director of New York’s Third District Dental Society.
