Pediatric dentists and dentists in public health settings had fuller schedules than general practice dentists, according to a poll from the American Dental Association's Health Policy Institute.
The ADA's monthly "Economic Outlook and Emerging Issues in Dentistry" survey compared the mean percentage of schedules filled across general practice dentists, pediatric dentists and dentists in public health settings.
Here is how full schedules were in the three different settings and specialties:
General private practice dentists: 86.7 percent
Pediatric private practice dentists: 90.7 percent
Dentists in public health settings: 97.7 percent
