DSO
- U.S. Oral Surgery Management gained a $150 million credit expansion to use for growth and expansion beyond 2024.
- Smile Doctors completed a capital raise of $550 million to continue its network expansion.
- HighFive Healthcare secured a $100 million growth investment led by venture capital and growth equity investment firm Norwest.
- Oak Dental Partners received a $153 million senior secured credit facility from Comvest Credit Partners.
- Dental Care Alliance was acquired by Mubadala Investment Co., a sovereign investor based in the United Arab Emirates.
Revenue cycle management
- DENCAP Dental Plans, a dental insurance coverage plan provider, acquired Golden Dental Plans to expand its network, reaching more than 150 practices.
- Dental billing company eAssist Dental Solutions, a subsidiary of medical and dental supplier Henry Schein, acquired a majority stake in Unitas PPO Solutions.
Supply chain
- Henry Schein acquired a majority ownership interest in Large Practice Sales, an advisory company to dental practices.
- Henry Schein also acquired a majority ownership stake in Biotech Dental Group, a dental supply company based in France.
- Medit, the third-largest 3D dental scanner manufacturer in the world, was acquired by South Korean private equity firm MBK Partners in a $1.9 billion deal.
Dental technology
- Align Technology entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cubicure, a 3D printing company based in Vienna.
- Dental supply company Henry Schein signed a definitive agreement to acquire S.I.N. Implant System, a dental implant manufacturer based in Brazil.
