A 35-year-old Louisiana woman was arrested after investigators discovered she was running an illegal dental practice at her residence.
Narcotics agents were executing a search warrant at Victoria Cheramie's residence in Galliano when they allegedly found suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of dentistry tools, according to an Aug. 18 news release from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
Ms. Cheramie was arrested and booked on active warrants for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and obstruction of justice. She was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as failure to license as a dental hygienist.
