The UConn School of Dental Medicine earned a five-year extension on its training grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the National Institutes of Health.
The grant supports research training for students in the DMD/PhD program, according to an Aug. 16 news release from the university.
The dental school has received federal support in the form of a research training grant from the NIH for more than 30 years.
The new grant will provide $2.7 million in funds over the next five years, the release said.
