Here are four dental industry updates that have taken place in Massachusetts since Aug. 10:
1. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 acquired Theroux Dental Associates in Grafton, Mass.
2. Guardian informed about 1,500 small businesses in Massachusetts that it will not sell policies to companies with fewer than 25 employees once the state's medical loss ratio is implemented in January.
3. Massachusetts dentist Scott Cale, DDS, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for engaging in a Medicaid fraud scheme.
4. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance opened a de novo practice in East Longmeadow, Mass.
