The Washington State Department of Health's Dental Quality Assurance Commission recently suspended the general anesthesia license of a dentist accused of disregarding patient safety.
Wei Guo, DMD, MD, allegedly failed to provide safe care to patients by administering anesthesia without two appropriate team members present and providing care to a patient without a dental assistant or appropriately trained anesthesia monitor present, according to a July 20 news release.
Dr. Guo has 20 days to respond to the charges and ask for a hearing.
