Two state dental organizations recently suspended or revoked the licenses of dentists for various violations and crimes.
Three updates:
- The Dental Quality Assurance Commission suspended the dental license and moderate sedation permit of a Washington dentist after "charges of unsafe practices and disregard for patient safety when using general anesthesia." It also suspended the license and general anesthesia permit of a Washington oral surgeon over allegations of unsafe practices and disregard for patient safety.
- Tyler Lasseigne, DDS, of Esthetic Associates in Baton Rouge, La., had his license revoked by the state dental board after he abruptly closed his practice in February without notice, which left patients without dental care and services they had already paid for.
