The University of Southern Indiana in Evansville is renovating its dental clinic as part of a $18.5 million renovations project to its Health Professions Center.
The upgrades to the university's dental clinic include an expansion to 18 operatories, a dental assisting simulation laboratory and increased capacity of the dental materials laboratory, according to a July 6 news release from the school.
The funding comes from the Indiana General Assembly's capital funding appropriation for the school, which was approved in 2019. There is an expected additional $49 million provided from the assembly to complete the final phase of the project in 2024.
The renovations to the dental clinic are expected to be completed by this fall, the release said.
