Boca Raton-based Florida Atlantic University is set to get $30 million from the state to fund its new dental school, The Capitolist reported June 6.
The university announced plans to build the school in December with the goal of opening in 2025. This school would be the state's fourth dental school overall and second public dental school.
The total cost of the dental school is $123.3 million, according to the FAU's Board of Trustees. Gov. Ron DeSantis still needs to approve the funding before the school can receive it.
