Dakota College of Bottineau in Minot, N.D. is set to add a new dental program starting next year, according to an April 7 report by KFYRTV.
The program will offer students certificates and associate degrees for dental hygienists and dental assistants.
Many in the profession across North Dakota are retiring, causing a shortage of hygienists and assistants in dental offices, the report said.
The program was supposed to begin this year, but had to be delayed due to construction issues.
There will be openings in the program for 22 students.
