A California oral surgeon accused of sexually assaulting multiple patients has relinquished his license, NBC affiliate KCRA reported March 30.
Mary Alexander & Associates filed a lawsuit against David Webb, DDS, last year accusing the oral surgeon of sexually abusing, harassing and assaulting patients. Multiple charges were filed in 2021 and 2022, with additional charges being added in February.
In August, a judge from the Solano County Superior Court decided not to suspend Dr. Webb's dental license, stating that decision is up to the Dental Board of California. However, the news station said it confirmed with several sources March 30 that Dr. Webb turned over his license to the state dental board.
A spokesperson for the state’s Department of Consumer Affairs issued a statement on behalf of the state dental board saying it could not comment on pending disciplinary action.
