The Florida Board of Dentistry revoked the license of a Florida dentist convicted of inappropriately touching a female employee, ABC affiliate WEAR News reported March 8.
Charles Stamitoles, DDS, of Pensacola, Fla., was arrested several times in 2022 for allegedly inappropriately touching female patients and an employee. He was found guilty of misdemeanor battery for one case in October and sentenced to 270 days in jail in November 2022. In January, he was given four 60-day sentences for four other battery charges.
The Florida Department of Health restricted his dental license in June 2022, barring him from practicing dentistry on female patients, and said in January that it would determine whether to revoke his license in the state. The Florida Board of Dentistry revoked his license March 6, according to state records.
