CMS clarified how the No Surprises Act affects the dental industry and two other federal government and policy updates that have taken place since Feb. 15:
1. The American Dental Association received clarification from CMS about how dental professionals are affected by the No Surprises Act.
2. Three Democratic senators proposed legislation aimed at banning organizations from using personally identifiable health data for advertising and marketing purposes.
3. The Federal Trade Commission extended the deadline for public comment on its proposal to ban employers from imposing noncompete agreements until April 19.
