Dentsply Sirona and the National Dental Association have expanded their partnership to promote diversity and inclusion in dental education.
Dentsply Sirona recently committed to the National Dental Association's Corporate Round Table — an advisory group that is composed of companies in the dental industry with the goal of expanding the association's growth, impact and development — at the platinum level.
The strengthened partnership will allow the dental supply company to help fund programs through the National Dental Association that expand dental education and care in minority communities. The association provides access to STEM programs, help with student loans and college visits, according to a Jan. 23 news release from Dentsply Sirona.
Among the supported programs is NDA-Health Now, which provides a lifetime of dental services, education and access to dental care to underserved communities.
Dentsply is a founding member of the Corporate Round Table, which was formed in 1997. The National Dental Association supports more than 7,000 minority dentists and supports underserved populations to promote pursuing careers in dentistry, the release said.
