From dental partnership groups to technology companies, here are five leaders involved in the oral surgery field to know:
Jason Auerbach, DDS. Founder of Riverside (N.J.) Oral Surgery: Dr. Auerbach is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon focused on laser-assisted dental implant surgery, advanced bone grafting and wisdom tooth extraction. He is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He founded Riverside Oral Surgery in 2007 and now leads the organization's 10 locations in the state.
Rick Hall. President and CEO of U.S. Oral Surgery Management (Irving, Texas): Mr. Hall has more than 40 years of executive experience working with Fortune 500 and private healthcare companies. He has served as USOSM's CEO since 2018, overseeing the company's growth to more than 160 practices in 24 states. In March, he was given the U.S. Department of Defense's Patriot Award, which recognizes employers and supervisors for their support of employees who serve in the National Guard or Reserve.
Daniel Hosler. Founder and CEO of Allied OMS (Southlake, Texas): Mr. Hosler has more than 15 years of experience with private equity and now leads the private equity-backed management services organization's network of more than 30 locations in California, Colorado, New York, Oregon, Texas and Virginia. His previous roles include chief development officer for Grand Rapids Ophthalmology.
David Lam, MD, DDS, PhD. Chair and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of the Pacific (San Francisco): Dr. Lam serves as chair and is the Dr. T. Galt and Lee DeHaven Atwood Endowed Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of the Pacific. His research involves the challenges with clinical management of oral and maxillofacial surgery patients. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada. He has also published and presented internationally on aspects related to his research and clinical interests.
Alon Mozes. Co-founder and CEO of Neocis: Mr. Mozes helped develop technology for Mako Surgical Corp. before the company was acquired by Stryker in 2013. He then founded Neocis, manufacturer of the Yomi dental implant robotic system, the first and only FDA-cleared robot-assisted dental surgery system in the U.S.
