Milwaukee-based Marquette University School of Dentistry received a $1.02 million grant to expand services for patients with special needs.
The funds will be used to update equipment in clinics and allow clinics to increase capacity for patients with special needs, according to a Nov. 17 news release from the university.
The grant will help support the school's clinics, including the Advanced Care Clinic, which provides care to adult patients.
The school has a Special Needs Dental Education Program, which offers dental students the opportunity to observe special needs pediatric dental care, the release said.
