A former Kansas dentist was arrested for allegedly practicing dentistry without a license, WIBW reported July 11.
Michael Charles Putnam, 67, was arrested July 9 by the Topeka Police Department after a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to show up to a motions court hearing, according to Shawnee County Department of Corrections records.
According to records from the Shawnee County District Court, Mr. Putnam faces three misdemeanor charges of false impersonation for allegedly practicing dentistry without a license.
Mr. Putnam has had multiple emergency action orders filed against him by the Kansas Dental Board in response to complaints against him. His license was revoked in June 2021, according to dental board records.
