DSOs, dentists, practices and suppliers have reached several milestones so far this year.

1. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management's partner practices have consistently achieved a net promoter score of 80 or above, surpassing the average NPS for the healthcare industry of 58 and the average score for healthcare providers of 38. It also partnered with its first practice in Massachusetts.
2. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services produced more than 3 million same-day dental restorations at its partner practices.
3. Sonendo treated more than 800,000 patients with its GentleWave system, an alternative to traditional root canal therapy.
4. Las Vegas-based Absolute Dental Group reached 40 locations in Nevada.
5. Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Smile Health Orthodontics became the first practice in the area to use Brava technology, which uses a biomedical orthodontic approach to move each tooth independently.
6. Carrollton, Texas-based DSO MB2 Dental added its first practices in Ohio and North Carolina. It also added its 400th practice.
7. Lee Ann Brady, DMD, became the first woman to be inducted into the Pankey Institute's Master Hall, an organization honoring dentists who have mastered dentistry skills and contributed to the industry, institute and community.
8. Leslie Fish, DDS, and LisaMarie Sarhangian, DDS, MD, completed more than 1,500 dental implants with the Yomi robot at their practice, Fish and Sarhangian in Chandler, Ariz.
9. A first-of-its-kind study published in May from the Regenstrief Institute and Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis provided new details about the longevity of teeth post root canal.
10. Anibal Diogenes, DDS, PhD, became the first dentist to be named a Piper Professor by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
11. Douglas Peterson, DMD, became the first person with a dental degree to be named a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
12. Denton, Texas-based DSO Community Dental Partners gained its first practice affiliation outside of Texas.
13. Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners added its first practice in South Carolina.
14. Mohamed Maksoud, DMD, became the first dentist chosen for the Fulbright Specialist Program by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Exchanges.
