Three dental leaders recently made Forbes' list of the world's richest people for 2022.
The three billionaires include Thomas Straumann, who owns a 17 percent stake in dental implant company Straumann Holding; Christoph Zeller, who inherited dental products company Ivoclar Vivadent AG and is a past CEO; and Heikki Kyostila, president of global dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca.

2. Two of the three dental leaders' net worths decreased from last year. Mr. Zeller's net worth dropped from $5.5 billion in 2021 to $2.3 billion in 2022. Mr. Kyostila's net worth decreased from $1.5 billion in 2021 to $1.3 billion in 2022. Mr. Straumann's net worth increased from $4.2 billion in 2021 to $5.6 billion in 2022.
3. Mr. Straumann's rank on the list of 2,668 billionaires jumped from No. 680 in 2021 to No. 471 in 2022. Mr. Zeller's rank dropped from No. 502 in 2021 to No. 1,341 in 2022. Mr. Kyostila came in at No. 2,035 in 2021 and moved down slightly to No. 2,190 in 2022.
4. Mr. Straumann has been featured on the list since 2018, when he ranked No. 887 with a net worth of $2.7 billion.
5. Mr. Zeller has been featured on the list since 2018. That year, he ranked No. 572 with a valuation of $3.9 billion.
6. Mr. Kyostila has also been featured on the list since 2018, when he made the No. 1,103 spot with a $2.2 billion net worth.
