The University of Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine received a $550,000 donation from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, UBNow reported June 21.
The funds will be used to provide dental care to homeless and uninsured people throughout western New York.
With the donation, the school's S-Miles To Go program will use its two mobile dental clinics to provide nearly 100 days of free dental care and support approximately 3,000 dental visits to uninsured and underinsured children.
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation provides grants to improve the health of vulnerable people across New York and eliminate barriers to care.
