The Rutgers School of Dental Medicine at Rutgers University in Newark, N.J., recently opened a center to advance digital dentistry.
The dental school dedicated the facility to Georges Sara, a former dental technician and owner of Stoneglass Industries, a prosthetic design company in Australia. Mr. Sara donated $1.3 million in equipment and software to the dental school through his company before dying from COVID-19 complications in November 2020, according to a May 10 news release.
The center is equipped with technology aimed at advancing digital dentistry to make dental restorations easier and quicker for patients.
